if In the spirit of New Years, this weeks WOW challenges our followers to outline an attainable fitness New Years Resolution.  This helps family members get in exercise throughout the year while working towards a realistic goal.
Have each family member, set a goal and outline how they plan to meet it.  For example:
  • Nick's goal is to do 100 unbroken push ups.  Starting on January 1st  he will do 25 unbroken push ups every day, each week he will increase the number of push ups he does by 5.  It should take him 16 weeks to get to his goal.
  • Jennifer's goal is to complete her first marathon.  Starting in January she will work up to 4 miles without stopping, in March she will begin a group training program for half marathons which she will complete in May and June.  Over the summer she will work towards longer distances and complete the Chicago Marathon in October.
  • Liz's goal is to complete 10 unbroken pull ups.  Her goal is to work on her dead hang and banded pull ups everyday until she is able to get 10 on her own.
  • Ethan's goal is to get better at hockey, he will practice stick handling and shooting in the basement along with playing other sports to work on his hand eye coordination.

Put your family goals in the comments and let us know if Family Fitness can help you to set and obtain any fitness goals in 2018.  Nick is currently offering $100 off any personal training package through the end of January with the code "FF2018"

What Our Clients Are Saying

I was worried about working with a personal trainer because I have an old knee and ankle injury. However, Nick makes it a priority to design workouts that not only push and challenge me physically, but take into account these injuries. Each session is different and I never know what to expect because he makes each workout fun and unique. I always feel motivated and encouraged by Nick specially on those days that I am not my strongest. Thanks to Nick and Family Fitness, I am getting stronger, healthier and enjoying "exercising" again after so many years of fearing or avoiding it.
