Family Workout of the Week

WOW! We know time is of the essence and we have found a great way to get the family together to exercise and form healthy habits while having fun. Check us out every Friday as you head into the weekend for an awesome workout and a great family bonding experience. Tell us your family's favorite exercises and we'll incorporate them into future workouts.

Family 500

We bring this weeks WOW back to our childhood days on the school yard.  This classic game gets a refreshing makeover, Family Fitness style.  

One family members throws out a football while calling out a numerical value. 
Each number has a prescribed exercise (e.g. 25 = squats, the person who catches the ball performs 25 squats and gets 25 points).  
The first person to get 500 points/reps wins and becomes the next thrower.
Keep the numbers in the 25-50 range.

Exercise ideas:
  • Push-ups
  • Sit-ups
  • Burpees
  • Lunges
  • Mountain Climbers
  • Sprints (yards as number)
  • Pull-ups
  • Squats
  • Leg Raises
The family member who catches the ball can distribute his/her reps to other family members to help share the workload.
